Aus altbekannt mach neu!

Wer kennt es nicht; Das eigene Sofa ist schon mehr als fünf jahre alt und man kann es einfach nicht mehr sehen. Man kennt es in und auswendig und die Farbe gefällt einem auch nicht mehr. Auch mit Ikea Möbeln passiert es oft, dass Freunde und Bekannte auch genau dieses Möbelstück haben und mann gefragt wird: "Ach ist das nicht das und das von Ikea? Wir haben das auch!".
Nun hat das Designstudio Saustark das Projekt Pimp your IKEA ins Leben gerufen. Nun kann man auf der Webseite neue Bezüge für die altbekannten Ikea Sitzmöbel kaufen. Das ist eine tolle und interessante Idee die man gerne selber ausprobieren möchte. Doch da diese neuen Bezüge alles Handanfertigungen sind, ist der Preis dementsprechend hoch.

Who hasn't experienced it yet; Your own couch is more than five years old and can't stand to look at it anymore. You know it by heart and you don't like the colour anymore. It's the same with furniture from Ikea. Friends or relatives are visiting you and are looking at your furniture and say: "Oh isn't that from Ikea? We've got that one, too!"

Now the has Designstudio Saustark created the project Pimp your IKEA. On their website you can order new covers for your old Ike furniture. This is an awesome and interesting Idea which one likes to try. But due to that those covers are handmade they'll be a little bit expansive

Wenn man natürlich nicht so viel Geld dafür ausgeben möchte, kann man natürlich auch versuchen sich selber einen Bezug für einen Sessel oder Ähnliches zu nähen. Das kann selbstverständlich für komplexere Möbel sehr schwierg werden. Aber auf der Seite Barhocker.de gibt es viele Designer Barhocker und Lounger Sessel die aber vom Aufbau her recht einfach sind, aber trotzdem sehr edel wirken. Ein Beispiel dafür wäre der CUBE Lounger und der Lido Lounger. Beide sind sehr geradlining und daher wird es wohl leichter sein dafür einen Bezug herzstellen als für etwas Komplexeres.

But if you don't want to spend too much money on a new cover, you can make one yourself. If course it will be quite difficult to make covers for complex chairs. But I found on the website Barhocker.de a lot of nice barstools and lounger chairs which look easy in their design but have also an classy air abou them. An example for an chair like that would be the CUBE Lounger or the Lido Lounger. Both have very straight lines so it'll be easy to sew a new cover for them than for something more complex.
